I've been working as a freelance commercial illustrator for the past 25 years. After graduating from C.C.A.D. in Cork I spent 3 years studying and working in animation with Don Bluth studios where I participated in a number of films. For the next 10 years I worked in Dublin mainly on storyboard development directly with film companies and producing illustrations for entertainment and educational press.
The second half of my career has been spent in London where I have been working with a number of leading studios in central London who service all of the top ad agencies in London delivering work for most of the top brands in the world as well as a host of btl. I have developed my skills in character design, finished artworks, storyboarding and animation moving from early work with traditional media to now almost exclusive delivery in digital media which increasingly includes 3d and vector art.
I am used to working collaboratively and am known for my ability to interpret briefs accurately. Character design remains a key area of interest and I believe this adds depth to everything I deliver.
I have a wide variety of styles and finish producing artwork, storyboards, visuals, concepts and art assets for animatics.
I also have experience on NPD as a visualiser in ideation sessions working with market research companies or directly with clients like Nestle, BAT, Philips and Ladbrookes etc.
